The High Line Presents: Pigeon Fest
In June 2025, the High Line partnered with Colombian artist Iván Argote to celebrate his High Line Plinth commission, Dinosaur—a monumental pigeon sculpture that quickly became an unexpected New York icon. To honor both the sculpture and National Pigeon Day, we created Pigeon Fest, a celebration of pigeon culture on the High Line Spur at 30th Street featuring performances, a pigeon impersonation contest, art, carnival-inspired games, and community programming that invited New Yorkers to reimagine one of the city’s most misunderstood creatures. I led the visual identity for the festival, developing custom lettering, illustration, signage, social promotion, and environmental graphics that embraced the humor, quirkiness, and collective joy of the event.
